    Hi,

I am new to the Tubbutec products and just ordered a uTune and expander.
I have been reading the manual a few times and still wondering a bit.

I would like to start with a simple mono setup as following:

    V/oct
    Gate
    Clock
    Volume
Midi CC to CV (1) for VCA/LFO
Midi CC to CV (2) for Panning or FX

Am i correct that I set all the outputs to the same midi channel and configuring this should be rather simple?

Am i correct that these are the CC numbers available?

Only CC numbers 0-7 are available?

    0 Bank Select
    1 Modulation Wheel
    2 Breath Controller
    3 Undefined
    4 Foot Controller
    5 Portamento Time
    6 Data Entry MSB
    7 Main Volume

When I am ready and understand the modules correctly I will start playing with microtonality and scales.

Any tips to get me started would be much appreciated.

    Hi

    Yes that is correct.

velocity, off velocity and pitch are not CC numbers. The velocities are part of the note on and off messages, pitch bend is a separate message. They are all available for output config. Typically velocity is used to control the volume.

Additionally outputs can also be linked to midi CC. Currently this is a fixed assignment (the table in the second post), but we are planning to make this configurable.

Ah I see, so each channel has fixed CC. Sure thing. I was worried I would not be able to set this up.
Yeah would be nice to have it configurable. But I also understand that its a lot of work on your part- This will work for now I think.
I actually ordered the blue expander from Schneiders as I saw you didnt have any in stock.

One thing that I still think would be awesome would be internal LFO with rate midi CC, and that this LFO could be routed to anything internally.
Say for example you wanted to modulate the pitch a bit or put a bit of LFO on a CV output going to a filter… Anyways just an idea and I know that this probably sounds more simple than it is because in some case that would interfere with the cal. Tools.
I know only some basic programming and I can only imagine, and testing would also be a factor to count in.

Legato playing turning glide on would be number one wish I guess, but all in all I have to say, this seems to be such an awesome module, really, your work is beyond anything I have seen in a long time in regards to midi and CV tools. Actually I always wish and often asked if it would be possible to make some kind of look-up-table for tuning filters, well and just about anything, and I just got it! After all these years (14) wow!
    Thumbs up! Really

By the way Tobias, do you know if and when a low cost expander with less precision will be available?
You know, one for CV only duties (not for oscillators) I think I saw this somewhere.

I am a bit limited in terms of space in my rack, so just wondering if this is something I should wait for.

We had considered it, but there are no concrete plans currently.

Ah ok, would be great though, I mean just for plain standard non precision tasks.
I added another expander haha Cant get enough now that I started
