Since installing the Juno 66 mod on my Juno 6, I’ve noticed that the timing of otherwise perfectly in-time MIDI sent to the Juno produces sounds that are somewhat out of time. It’s especially apparent with fast parts and arpeggiated sounds. Is this a known issue with the mod?

Depends on what kind of delay you are seeing. What are you comparing it against?
A midi note on or off message takes 1ms, so just from that you get a delay. Depending on your midi interface this might be a bit worse.
The main hardware control loop of the Juno is about 2ms long. This adds another 2ms delay and about the same amount of jitter.

It seems that the email out of timing jitter I’m getting is substantially worse than 2ms. I’m feeding midi to the Juno 66 from my Axiom 49 via midi out. I don’t seem to have this issue with other synths I use this way. What can I check on the Juno 66?

I am comparing the timing against quantized midi I am sending out of pro tools.

    Hi,
we changed some timing values in the newest firmware (1.28). Please try and see if this fixes your problem.
