Why: Just switching the built-in Arp on/off isn’t possible with only pressing the Arp button, since the
settings of the Arp related controls might set a non-wanted play mode for the Juno.
So it might be an idea to implement a configuration option to deactivate the Juno-66 play mode and the portamento feature. Like this switching Arp off would not change the play mode and protamento no matter in which position the arp controls are.
This surely wouldn’t be the best option, since it’s a either-or situation. Best option would be to allow for on-the-fly selection but because of the limited controls available this might not be feasible (only thing that just came to my mind was “pressing hold for > 3 to toggle play mode/portamento on/off).
I just read in the manual, that while the buit-in arp is on, one can set the playmode which then is persisted for (only) the next switching off the arp. Not exactly what I was thinking about but at least a kind of workaround I would say.
