Hi
I´m about to complete the installation of the Juno 66 upgrade on my Juno 60 (the old version).
I want to add the extended Filter Range Mod. The capacitor job looks easier. But I´m not sure about the resistor change,I´m not familiar with SMT . But you mentioned a Through Hole Resistor can be soldered across the existing SMT one which located on the Juno 66 board.
So: Do i solder a resistor in the green dots position on the picture?:
A 27k or 24k resistor would work.
The green point on the right looks good, but you will probably have a hard time soldering to the left. Better to use the resistor’s pad on the left.
Maybe the best option is to send it to us (if you are in Europe) or find someone who can just replace the resistor..
Thanks a lot!
I can´t wait to try the Juno 66. I already placed the socket. But before doing the last steps , i´m cleaning everything , key contacts, and fixing some switches issues.
I just checked my Juno 66 board closely and see that, in it, the mentioned SMT resistor is a numbered: 1003. While in the upgrade instructions picture says: 01D
also, my kit came with a 100n capacitor already.
Does it mean i have the 20K SMT resistor in my J66 board already? it was bought on 2015
Please see the pictures:
Yes, it´s old, i took me a while getting back to this project. Moved from one continent to another, with all my gear and projects. I bought the Juno 60 for GBP300. It was seriously in bad state . Got the parts , replaced all the sliders etc.
So i´LL add the 27k across the SMT right
Thanks
Ric
