Do I have to unsolder them for installing? And then solder them back on.?
You are supposed to install the sockets from behind the panel, similar to here:This is true for ModyPoly and Juno-66.
Soldering the connectors is something we actually spent quite a bit of time on during manufacturing, so it would be pointless if you had to remove them.
