You will definitely be able to trigger sounds. However without schematics it is hard to say from here. A synth tech would definitively be able to find the trigger points and install uniPulse.
Quite likely the CR-800 uses the same sound board as the CR-68. If you can post some pictures of the board inside, I can probably help better.
