So – the MPC2000XL apparently sends out a “status byte of 90” on “note on” and on “note off”. Usually however “note off” is recognised as midi status byte 80.. In the picture below the MPC 2000XL is sending midi notes in the first long row of note messages. When the timing clock messages kicks in, it is another sequencer running, which sends byte 90 and 80 – and the unipulse works smoothly with that!
My suggestion would be, that the unipulse doesn’t recognise the “status byte 90” as a “note off” message and so the unipulse keeps being “on”.
